What to wear?
Clothes: Whatever you want, just be comfortable.
Shoes: To preserve the beautiful new dance floor and keep it dry and grit-free, please bring a second pair of shoes to change into. You don't want to wear the same shoes you wore in the parking lot. Shoes which allow you to "do the twist" (a flat leather sole or even a court-type tennis shoe) are what you want. Shoes with a hiking type waffle bottom are NOT okay.
The most preferable of course are specially constructed ballroom shoes which have a thin suede sole for superior support, control and contact with the floor. If you are new to ballroom dancing, just bring a second pair of shoes. If you want to continue ballroom dancing as a hobby, you should definitely look into purchasing a pair of ballroom shoes. Unfortunately, these are not available locally. Google BALLROOM SHOES on the internet and you will have plenty to choose from!
My husband Steve and I have worked many long hours to remodel this space and create a warm, happy, beautiful and practical space for ballroom dancing. We hope you will enjoy dancing here for many years to come!

“Have Fun Dancing's goals say it all. Meeting new people in the very social manner of dance, learning new dance steps, and adding another dimension to your relationship with a significant-other is, on average, very fun. In addition, the constant enthusiasm and patience of instructor Lauren is very motivating if not inspiring. We show up to dance lessons tired from working all day long and leave energized. Thanks for all that you do, Lauren!”
