from Main Street, Bozeman: turn onto N. Rouse and go about 1 mile heading toward Bridger Bowl. Go over the tracks, make the second right onto Bryant Street. There is a street sign. Immediately look to your right. It's in the red and white building on the corner. Look for the door with the red HAVE FUN DANCING sign above it. If you are coming from Belgrade, you may want to take Griffin and turn right onto N. Rouse and left onto Bryant
From points west you might want to take Oak Street to the end and turn left onto N. Rouse, over the tracks and 2nd right onto Bryant |
Please note: To preserve the beautiful new dance floor and keep it dry and grit-free, please don't forget to bring a second pair of shoes to change into. You don't want to wear the same shoes you wore in the parking lot. Shoes which allow you to "do the twist" (a flat leather sole or even a court-type tennis shoe) are what you want. Shoes with a hiking type waffle bottom are NOT okay.
The most preferable of course are specially constructed ballroom shoes which have a thin suede sole for superior support, control and contact with the floor. If you are new to ballroom dancing, just bring a second pair of shoes. If you want to continue ballroom dancing as a hobby, you should definitely look into purchasing a pair of ballroom shoes. Unfortunately, these are not available locally. Google BALLROOM SHOES on the internet and you will have plenty to choose from!
My husband Steve and I have worked many long hours to remodel this space and create a warm, happy, beautiful and practical space for ballroom dancing. We hope you will enjoy dancing here for many years to come!
